Caring for your Mental Health

Mental health has to do with your psychological, emotional, and social well-being. It affects how you think, feel, and act. Our mental health is just as important as our physical health is to maintain a healthy, successful life. Our mental health affects our progress at school, work, and in our relationships with one another. We all want to feel mentally well, but it’s not always easy to know what to do.

How are my sleeping and eating habits?

Am I able to manage my emotions in a healthy way?

Do I have someone to talk to about my problems?

Have I been thinking negatively about myself and my life?

Have I been thinking negatively about myself and my life?

Am I overthinking about something that has happened?

Here are some simple changes to move back towards the green:

Connect with others (family, friends, an affinity group or pets)

Spend quality time doing the things that you enjoy the most

Move your body or go out for leisure activities and be with your friends

Practice healthy eating and sleeping habits

Try to notice the positive things in your life

Find healthy ways to relax and reduce stress
