Admissions FAQ
When should we apply for the upcoming school year?
Enrollment opens September 1, with a priority application deadline of December 1 for Grades 9–12. First-round offers begin in mid-January, and we continue to accept applications on a rolling basis after that.
Is an entrance exam required?
There’s no formal entrance exam. As part of the Learning Snapshot step, students complete a tailored math and literacy assessment — no preparation is required. Admissions decisions also factor in transcripts and a family interview.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. You can choose Plan A (full tuition paid before September) or Plan B (two installments, both due before September).
Is there an application fee?
Yes, the application fee is $200. It may be waived for families with financial constraints — reach out to admissions@aahs.ca to discuss.
What is the average class size and student-teacher ratio?
High school class sizes range from 20 to 22 students, with a 7:1 to 12:1 student-teacher ratio — a balance of academic rigor and real mentorship.
Is there priority placement for siblings?
Yes — our Early Notification Program gives priority placement to siblings of currently-enrolled students, as well as children of faculty and staff.
